Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL NAME OF BUSINESS] ("DriveDash", "we", "us") for your use of the DriveDash website and app (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Not tax, legal or accounting advice
DriveDash is a record-keeping tool. Any totals, summaries or estimates it shows are for your information only and are not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Tax rules change and depend on your circumstances. You are responsible for your tax filings and remittances, and you should confirm them with a qualified professional or the Canada Revenue Agency.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your password secure. Tell us promptly at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Free trial and subscription
- New accounts get a free trial of 14 days. No payment details are required to start the trial.
- After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription at C$7.99 per month or C$69 per year, in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes if any.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Profile → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund unused time in a billing period, except where the law requires it.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your next billing period.
- If your trial or subscription ends, your account becomes read-only: you can still view, export and delete your data, but you can't add or edit records.
4. Your data
You own the information you enter into DriveDash. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time from Profile → Privacy & Data. Keep your own copies of records you are legally required to retain.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service. For example, don't try to access other users' data, interfere with or overload the Service, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, upload malicious files, or use it for anything unlawful.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and your data backed up, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that calculations, summaries or estimates are accurate or complete.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DriveDash is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for taxes, interest, penalties or lost profits resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
